Scholarships & Grants
Each year, the Beta Delta Chapter awards both Enrichment and Encouragement Grants to local teachers. Each year, teachers from school districts in North Coastal San Diego County are invited to apply for the Enrichment Grants for $750. Word is getting out and the Scholarship Committee is overwhelmed with grant applications every year! In addition, an Encouragement Grant of $1,500 for a student teacher is awarded. This year, Beta Delta proudly honored three fantastic and innovative teachers as well as one up-and-coming superstar teacher at our annual Scholarship Celebration in May.

Beta Delta Chapter has Donated 638 Jared Boxes to date!
The goal of the Jared Box Project is to lift the spirits of chronically ill children. The boxes symbolize the importance of play and are filled with well wishes, hope, and love.

Laundromat Literacy
Chapter members donate books − from young child to adult level − to be placed in boxes and left at local Laundromats. The hope is that people who are doing their laundry will pick up a book and read at the Laundromat and take the book home to share with other family members and friends.
